Here we go! The pre-season activities are finally open and I am ready to get my mind in gear for what I know will be tremendous change in me. I am so ready to change. Bring it on! The first activity is to introduce yourself to the forum. This I can do! I need to make this my mantra for all that will be asked of me to achieve results - this I CAN DO!

Last night we were lucky enough to go to Doyles at Watson Bay for dinner, thanks to Westpac. Mart has been working so so hard that they suggested he take us all out for a meal - it is was lovely. It was really nice to spend some relaxed time together and enjoy such a wonderful meal! We realy LOVE Doyles!

Alex' soccer team The Stingrays had a great match last Saturday, winning 4-1. We are sure some of that success was due to Alex's ability to tackle, regardless of the opposition being an all girls side. Some of the others found going in for the ball a little intimidating, not wanting to hurt the girls, but not our Alex!

We are absolutely thrilled with the changes in our front garden. We were lucky enough to be able to get a landscape garden in to sort out the area. Firstly, we really wanted the pond to be removed (and hopefully the frogs would go away also) and then have the area re-turfed, as well as the garden beds on either side being redone. The change is remarkable and just
a fantastic site. Some before and after photos follow ....
The "beautiful" before
Then after several days of work, and several days of rain the garden suddenly looked different in an absolutely fabulous way!

Dominic was lucky enough to play in the Striker Cup this year held at Cromer Park. Many teams from around the state compete in a Round Robin event with the winner going through to semi's, quarters and then of course the final. Dominic team did very well although they did not get past some of the stiff competition in their group. The games were played on a full sized pitch, which Dominic and his team were not used too, so with little legs working as hard as they could they just could not keep up with the teams that already played on the full sized field regularly.
The kids were able to play in the main stadium which was very exciting for them. A week or so before they had been to watch Sydney FC play against Manly at that very stadium, so it was quite special to then be able to play on the same field as some of Sydney's to class players!

Happy New Year! We are now into 2008 and we are off and running on another year. I, of course, have made the mandatory new years resolutions. I have started a Life Journal so when that is up and running I will post images. One of the first things I placed in this were my 10 new year resolutions so hopefully having written them down I will be more focussed to achieve my goals.
I normally feel excited at the beginning of the year and ready to get into things. The kids and I headed of to Manly yesterday and they swam at the Cabbage Tree pool, which is on the gorgeous walk to Shelley Beach. On days like this you really have to feel blessed to live in Sydney.
